CLASSES (New classes every month)

New class list starting all the time.  Call right away and  get on the list then meet the health requirements asap, no later than 10 days before start of class.  Classes are always small and fill quickly.  Participation not confirmed until payment received.

You'll learn to identify off-leash behavior, proper and improper play, fear behaviors  and how to communicate so both pet and owner are happy.  In other words, we will give you and your dog COPING SKILLS for what life throws your way <G>

We are not a traditional class.  Please leave your treats at home.  We will try and build a relationship of high value without them.  Lots of personal attention here as well as behavior issues are addressed before they become habituated inappropriate behaviors.

Pawsitive only does one level of classes which you are welcome to repeat.  Each one is different depending on the owners, breed and ages.

A seminar I attended at Guelph presented a study showing that more than 60% of all dog owners never go beyond puppy class.  I decided to try and meet that need in one package of 8 separate classes rather than levels.

Everyone has different goals when they obtain their dog.  Different classes and methods work for different owners and their dogs.  Feel free to call and schedule time to observe a class if you'd like, or refer to the reviews below and in the links above.  A list of individuals to speak to directly is also available.

If you are interested in obedience competition or perfect sit-stays on leash, I'd be happy to refer you to some good trainers in the area who can take you to several levels of training for competition or just for your own enjoyment.

If you are interested in learning the basics, a dog that responds to you off leash early on, lots of social interaction and management, a dog that is invited over with you to friends rather than asked to stay home... those are my goals.  To give you the Family Companion pet that is a part of your total family.
